Ná Ozzetti's recent work is based on a repertoire of Brazilian music which comprises both traditional and consecrated songs such as Adeus Batucada (Sinval Silva), No Rancho Fundo (Ari Barroso/Lamartine Babo), Boneca de Piche (Ari Barroso), João Valentão (Dorival Caymmi) and As Praias Desertas (Tom Jobim), among others, as well as new songs composed by Ná Ozzetti herself and others from her generation: Zé Miguel Wisnik, Itamar Assumpção, Luiz Tatit and Dante Ozzetti.
The concept behind the arrangements respects the rich instrumental progressive line of the original recordings of these Brazilian songs, which have evolved since the late twenties, and aims capturing the essence of the genre and translating it into a contemporary language.
The work created by Ná and the musical partners mentioned above, who she has been working with throughout her artistic career, represents a search for new forms of composing within this Brazilian music tradition, which has the peculiarity of being flexible and open to absorbing a variety of influences and different genres, cultures, ethnicities and times, demonstrating its cultural expression.
